The disc separator or centrifuge is specially designed for 2-phase and 3-phase separation processes. Two-phase separation removes suspended solids from liquids or separates two immiscible liquids with different specific gravities. Three-phase separation simultaneously separates two immiscible liquid phases and a solid phase.
